Trio Encantada

Internationally acclaimed Trio Encantada, a faculty ensemble from Eastern New Mexico University, Portales, NM, features the combined talents of Tracy Carr, oboist; Jeanie Wozencraft-Ornellas, lyric soprano; and Mark Dal Porto, pianist and composer.

Accomplished soloists in their own fields, members of the Trio perform a varied repertoire ranging from Baroque cantatas to 21st century works, including works commissioned especially for them.  The ensemble combines repertoire for voice and piano, oboe and piano, and all three instruments together.  Trio Encantada’s extensive performing schedule includes venues throughout the United States and abroad.
 
Recent international performance and presentation venues include the Sichuan Conservatory and the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, both in Chengdu, China;  Universidad de Alcala d’Henares, Madrid, Spain; and Muelle, Costa Rica, and London, England.  National performances include venues throughout New Mexico, Texas, Colorado, Wyoming, Nevada, Hawaii, North Carolina, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

In addition, the Trio performs as guest recitalists on chamber music/orchestral series, at colleges and universities, and at professional music conferences. Trio Encantada also presents master classes and workshops in public schools through the college and general population levels.
