Symphonic Band

The ENMU Symphonic Band is open to all interested and talented undergraduate instrumentalists. This ensemble is seated based upon the results of a chair placement audition and performs the finest traditional and contemporary repertoire.

The Symphonic Band has been a featured ensemble at the conventions of the New Mexico Music Educators Association and the College Band Directors National Association. Recent guest conductors include Robert Jorgensen, Paula Crider, Norvil Howell and John Locke.

In addition to three formal concerts, the Symphonic Band performs at the Department of Music's annual Christmas concert and for ENMU commencement ceremonies.

The Symphonic Band meets in the Music Building, Room 109, on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from noon to 1:50 p.m. in the late fall and spring semesters and may be taken for credit.
