Associate Professor of Clarinet at Eastern New Mexico University, Dr. Tamara Raatz has presented lectures and recitals in Vienna, Austria for the College Music Society, for the American Society of Aesthetics, the International Conference on Music and Gesture at the University of East Anglia in England, the Music and Literary Modernism Conference at SUNY-Cortland, the Istanbul International Spectral Music Conference in Istanbul, Turkey, the Australian/New Zealand Musicological Societies in Wellington, New Zealand, the Forum on Music and Christian Scholarship and the International Clarinet Association Conference in Washington D.C. In 2005, Dr. Raatz will have a paper published by Cambridge Scholars Press, U.K. in a collection of essays entitled Music and Literary Modernism – Critical Essays and Comparative Studies.Dr. Raatz’ performances may be heard on the Vienna Modern Masters, Dorian, New Ariel and Capstone labels.Dr. Raatz holds degrees from Baylor University, the University of Michigan, and the Eastman School of Music.
