Kayla Paulk is Vocal Coach and Accompanist at Eastern New Mexico University (ENMU), where she coaches voice students and accompanies students, faculty, guest artists and choirs. Prior to coming to ENMU, she was a full-time accompanist and coach at the University of Oklahoma, where she collaborated with faculty, students, and guest artists in lessons, master classes, and recitals.

As a member of the Stetson University School of Music faculty in DeLand, FL, from 1993-2003, she served as both Director of Accompanying and director of the Stetson Singers. Mrs. Paulk received a Bachelor of Music Education degree in piano from Stetson University and a Master of Music degree in Accompanying and Piano Pedagogy from Florida State University.

Equally adept at both vocal and instrumental accompanying, Mrs. Paulk has collaborated with many of the most prominent musicians of our time.  Her work with operatic singers and stage directors includes master classes with Marilyn Horne, Sherrill Milnes, Tito Capobianco, Fabrizio Melano, Jennifer Larmore, Martina Arroyo, Marquita Lister, Leona Mitchell and Maria Spacagna.  Of the numerous instrumentalists she has collaborated with in recital, most notable are oboist Wayne Rapier, tubist John Griffiths, bass trombonist Jonathan Warburton, pianist Charles Wadsworth and trumpeters Fred Mills, Bob Birch, and Moffatt Williams. As a choral accompanist, she has accompanied choirs in Carnegie Hall, China, Newfoundland, Norway and throughout Europe, spending two seasons as accompanist for the renowned Santa Fe Desert Chorale (organist for the 2003 Journeys of the Spirit CD).

The summers find her in Orlando, Florida, as a coach and accompanist on the faculty of Metropolitan Opera baritone Sherrill Milnes opera workshop, VOICExperience, www.voicexperiencefoundation.com. Mrs. Paulk is also a national auditions pianist for Walt Disney World Entertainment.
