Jennifer Laubenthal

Jennifer Laubenthal, recently appointed assistant professor of clarinet, is a graduate of The Ohio State University (D.M.A., 2009 and M.M., 2006) and The University of Akron (B.M., 2004). Her primary teachers include James Pyne and Kristina Belisle.

Upon entering graduate study at The Ohio State University, Dr. Laubenthal was awarded the prestigious Graduate Fellowship and The Osburn Fellowship Award. Later in her graduate studies, Dr. Laubenthal served as a graduate assistant to the clarinet studio and music education department.

Dr. Laubenthal has performed as a soloist with the Mercer Community Band in Mercer, Pennsylvania and the Lima Area Concert Band in Lima, Ohio. She has also performed with the New Albany Symphony Orchestra and the Central Ohio Symphony, both in central Ohio.  Dr. Laubenthal can be heard on the Naxos recording “Winds of Nagal” and the upcoming release of “Southern Harmony”, also on the Naxos Record Label.
