Audition Requirements: What Do I Need to Do?

Wind and Percussion

• Complete a Band Application for membership in the band program
• Perform a live audition
  Audition material should consist of a solo and/or two contrasting etudes and all major scales. All prospective students will be asked to sight-read.

Vocal

• Perform a live audition
  Audition material should include two songs from the standard vocal repertoire, one of which may be a musical theatre selection. Singers will be asked to sight-read a short excerpt similar to exercises required for All-State auditions.
• Singers are asked to bring letters of reference from three people, such as teachers, and official transcipts.

Piano

• Perform a live audition
  Audtion material should include two memorized contrasting selections from the standard piano repertoire. All prospective students will be asked to sight-read.

All Prospective Students

You must receive a letter of acceptence from the Office of Enrollment Services before any awards can be made. If you are not sure about your admission status you can check your status.
