Diana Ossana

Diana Ossana is an Oscar-winning writer who has collaborated with Pulitzer Prize winner Larry McMurtry on a number of significant projects since 1992, when they first worked together on Pretty Boy Floyd. Her work with McMurtry in adapting Annie Proulx’s short story “Brokeback Mountain” for the screen won not only the 2005 Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay, but also Golden Globe and Writers Guild of America awards the same year. Her most recent collaboration with McMurtry was the television miniseries Comanche Moon, which was a “prequel” to McMurtry’s celebrated Lonesome Dove. Other projects in which she has worked as a writer and/or producer include Johnson County War, Dead Man’s Walk and Streets of Laredo. A native of St. Louis, Ms. Ossana attended Eastern New Mexico University. She is a longtime resident of Arizona.
